Alright, so here is the time management worksheet that I promised you all. The picture is an example of my class/work/meeting/etc schedule that I had for the winter semester of 2011.
Before I elaborate more on the above picture and the below link let me ask you this: Have you ever felt like you don’t have enough time in the day to get everything done? I have had that feeling come over me more times than I can count. So, what is the solution to overcoming that feeling…? Make a TIME SCHEDULE!
As you can see, every part of the day was planned out, why you ask? By planning out and assigning a time frame to each activity I had to do, I was able to regulate what I was doing and how long I was going to spend doing that task. The “Pressure of Time” was on my so to say and because of that I was less inclined to take the ever popular “Hour long Facebook break”, followed by checking my email and watching a youtube video.
This ended helping me a massive amount and saved me a massive amount of time during the winter semester. I had found that as I followed this schedule I felt that I had more “Free time” on my hands, because I was getting my homework done sooner and was able to study more effectively…because I used the schedule.
So, to close…I can assure you that if you use this schedule format you will find that you will be able to get what you need to get done efficently and you will start to notice and increase in your grades and your free time.
The link below is a link to download the Microsoft 2003 excel spreadsheet so that you can use the same schedule above(minus the text and colors) and tailor it to your own daily schedule.
